CapSquare Systems, Inc. has an opening for the position of Software Engineer (Ref# SE215VC) to work in Troy, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Design, develop, implement, test, and support business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, including enterprise data warehousing and business intelligence applications, and major enhancements of existing systems. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional requirements, and data specifications for Business Objects universes and reports. Responsible for data warehouse development along with Data Conversion and ETL (Extraction/Transformation/Loading) using BODS and Alteryx. Work with subject-matter experts for better understanding design documents to develop ETL workflows for Data Conversion. Involved in meetings with business users for requirement gathering and provide services to meet the required SLAs (service-level agreements). Act as a lead resource for the development team and create mapping rules by understanding legacy sources and SAP target systems. Conduct regular meetings with development team to track the tasks performed and create and set up development, test, and production environments for ETL process. Design entire ETL process flow for data migration from legacy systems to SAP ECC. Troubleshoot, performance tune, and enhance ETL workflows. Document functional and technical specifications and test plans as required and review code and ensure proper coding standards and approaches are being followed. Develop data conversion and data accuracy validation reports for business review. Create relevancy rules and data conversion rules based on user input and develop ETL jobs accordingly. Document ETL standards and best practices throughout the ETL process. Use of SAP Business Objects, SAP BODS (Business Object Data Services), Alteryx, SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports, JIRA, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, UNIX, and Windows. Travel and/or relocation required. Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, MIS, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including ETL Developer, Business Objects Developer, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree in any field of study plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with ETL, SAP BODS, and SQL Server. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
